How it works
Small steps. Big progress.
You don't need years of experience. Whatever instrument you pick, give yourself a few focused minutes a day and follow the same path: learn, practice, play, belong.
π Learn
Understand the basics without overwhelming theory. Each day gives you one clear thing to learn, in plain language, in under two minutes of reading.
π― Practice
Short, practical exercises that fit into your day and turn what you just read into muscle memory. Three numbered reps, then a timed drill.
π€ Play & belong
Put the new skill into a song, play it for a real person, and start seeing yourself as a musician. Seven days, seven badges, one performance.
Your 7-Day Musician journey
A focused beginner experience built around action, confidence and actually making music. Day Zero is orientation, Day 1 is your first song or groove, Day 7 is your performance.
- βDaily beginner-friendly lessons, one idea a day, on the instrument you chose
- βPractical exercises and a song to apply them to
- βSongs to play for real people β three on most instruments, one full song on drums
- βA confidence-building performance goal on Day 7
- βA simple, fun and practical learning path, 10 to 25 minutes a day
Not sure which one?
Start with the instrument you will actually pick up
There is no wrong first instrument. The right one is the one that is in the room, in tune, and interesting enough that you open the book on day two. A few honest pointers:
You have a keyboard at home
Piano. Every note is laid out in front of you, and it is the instrument that makes reading music easiest later on.
You want to sing along
Guitar, ukulele or piano. Three chords carry hundreds of songs, and all three books get you changing chords without the music stopping, so your voice has something to sit on.
It is for a small child
Ukulele or piano. The ukulele has small, soft strings, four of them, and is the cheapest real instrument you can buy. The piano lays every note out in a row, so there is nothing to press wrong. Both books are built for ages six or seven and up.
You feel rhythm before melody
Drums. No notes to find, just time to keep β and you can start tonight on a practice pad or two cushions, silently.
You want to play with other people soon
Bass. Every band is short of one, one note at a time is enough to hold a song together, and day one is a real bass line.
You tried before and stopped
Go back to the one you stopped on. The week rebuilds the foundation in an order that goes somewhere, and this time there is a finish line printed on page one.
Who this is for
Starting from zero, or starting over
Made for beginners. Whether you have never touched an instrument or you are finally coming back to music, every book keeps things simple.
Complete beginners
No prior experience needed. A child with a parent nearby, a teenager, or an adult starting from zero β same seven days, same songs, you set the pace.
Those who took lessons before
Had lessons as a child and forgot all of it? One week rebuilds the foundation so the next round of learning sticks.
Parents teaching a child
Every book has a coaching guide for whoever is helping β what to do, what not to do, and what progress looks like. You do not need to read music or play a note.
The program is designed to help beginner and aspiring musicians start playing quickly and enjoy the process.
This is not for:
- βProfessional musicians or experienced players who are already proficient and seeking advanced training, as the program targets beginners with no prior experience.
- βIndividuals unwilling to commit or practice regularly. Consistent effort is key to progress, so people looking for quick results without dedication might find it less beneficial.
- βThose seeking comprehensive music theory or advanced technical skills from the outset, as the program emphasizes learning through practical, simple steps rather than in-depth theoretical instruction.
- βYoung children without parental guidance. The program is tailored to beginners who can follow self-paced instructions, so younger children need a parent to supervise.
- βPeople expecting to become professional musicians instantly. The focus is on fostering enjoyment, confidence and basic skills, not producing professional-level performers overnight.
